Who would think a foreign news outlet could cover American politics better than an American news outlet? I would. 

The influence of the Christian Right and the Tea Party in American politics and their link to corporate interests are sickening. Faith and religion alone are not evil. The institutionalization of religion in the forms we see today throughout our society derail the possibility of economic, political, and social growth at a time when we so desperately need all.
